2.2. Information collected
When necessary, we may collect name, email, telephone, billing and delivery addresses, ordered items, prices, transaction identifiers, shipping and customs information, and messages or customization instructions. WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting and security services may also generate technical data such as IP addresses, logs and essential session information. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising tracking tools, according to our current configuration; this must be verified before publication.
3.3. Why information is needed
We use information to respond to inquiries, process and fulfill orders, arrange secure delivery and customs paperwork, verify transactions, prevent fraud, maintain website security, and meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Essential checkout fields are required to fulfill an order; without them we may be unable to process payment or deliver a gemstone. Depending on applicable law, processing relies on contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interests or consent where required.
4.4. Payments
Payments are processed through PayPlus and MAX as applicable. Gemerald does not intentionally store full payment card numbers or card security codes in its own website database. Payment providers may independently process payment and fraud prevention information. Gemerald may retain payment status, transaction references and accounting records.
5.5. Sharing and transfers
We share information only as reasonably necessary with PayPlus, MAX, shipping providers such as Malca-Amit, Ferrari Group or FedEx, website hosting and maintenance providers, professional advisers and legally authorized authorities. These services may process data outside the customer’s country; safeguards required by applicable law will be used. We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
6.6. Retention and security
Order and accounting records are retained for the periods required by applicable tax, commercial and other laws; customer inquiries and technical logs are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for their purposes. Actual retention schedules must be verified against WooCommerce and hosting settings. We use reasonable access controls, secure connections and administrative safeguards; no system is completely risk-free.
7.7. Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal or portability of their data. The site may use strictly necessary session, cart, checkout and security technologies, described in the Cookie Policy. No optional analytics or marketing trackers are currently intended. The website is intended for adults; Gemerald does not knowingly solicit children’s personal information.
